Online Giving

Why Give Online?

Many people find online giving to be more convenient, if they forgot an offering envelope, or if they regularly transact online.  Faith has selected PayPal, one of the most widely used methods of online payments, due to their ability to offer a low fee to 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations such as Faith, their ability to allow credit cards or PayPal accounts to be used, and their ability to monitor and protect these transactions.

You do not have to have a PayPal account to make a donation using your credit card.  On the Payment Details page, click where it says, "If you do not currently have a PayPal account, Click Here."  On the following page, click on the box that is titled "Don't have a PayPal Account?"  It will allow you to make a donation without opening a PayPal account if that is your preference - just use any major credit card.

Please consider adding 2.2% to your donation to cover the service fee, particularly if you plan to use this service frequently.

To Contribute Online with PayPal - One Time or Monthly:

One-Time Donations:  The "Donate" button allows you to make a one-time donation.  If you have a specific fund in mind, then please make a note in the Review/Confirmation page by clicking on the + sign by "Please specify funds in Notes" to open up the comment box.  You do have the option to make that a recurring monthly donation as well; just select the box that indicates "Monthly" next to the donation amount.

Recurring Donations:  See above.

Flower Donations:  Select the "Buy Now" button below, and select the # of flower bouquets you are donating.  Please note that the amount includes PayPal transaction fees.

Frequently Asked Questions About Donating with PayPal:

What is PayPal, and how is will the church use it to enable online donations?
PayPal is one of the largest online payment companies.  They allow us to collect donations from a button on our website or an email link.  It is a low cost way for us to make it convenient for you to make a one-time donation or to keep your on-going offering promise up-to-date.

Why did we choose PayPal?
It is the most widely-used donation provider and we have confidence in its reliability.  Also, it is inexpensive.  In fact, we do not pay anything unless someone donates, and then PayPal retains a small percentage of the donation as a transaction fee, 2.2%.  This fee is lower than a general merchant transaction fee because we have non-profit status.  We do ask that you increase your donation to cover the transaction fee.

Do I have to be a member of the church to donate?
No.  We are grateful for support from all who feel motivated to do so.  PayPal does ask for your contact information, and we do not currently accept anonymous donations online.

How do I make sure my donation is credited to the fund that I want it to go to, or to a memorial?
If you have a specific fund in mind, then please make a note in Review/Confirmation page by clicking on the + sign by "Please specify funds in Notes" to open up the comment box.  Donations without specific instructions will be used for the ongoing work and ministries of the church.  You may also send an email to the church office at flcoffice@att.net with the date and amount of your donation, and specific instructions if you would like to make sure we see them.

Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes.  We are a 501(C)(3) corporation.  Faith's records will show your tax-deductible donation in the amount excluding the transaction fee; because we do not receive this money, we cannot show it on our tax records, so this may differ from your PayPal receipt.

I cannot figure out how to make PayPal work.
Please email the church at flcoffice@att.net and we will get someone to help you.
