"Every teacher knows my son, not just his own. The school is a wonderful community where all the kids fit. Communication is good and expectations are clear. My son is always ready and anxious to go to school!"

Curriculum

Infants-2 Year Olds

For nearly two decades, The Creative Curriculum® for Infants, Toddlers & Twos has supported teachers and caregivers as they create responsive daily routines and meaningful learning experiences for the youngest learners.

Our latest curriculum solution takes that support even further, combining The Foundation—made up of three comprehensive volumes that provide ‘Early Childhood 101’ and an overview of everything teachers and caregivers need to know to build a high-quality program—with a rich collection of resources, the Daily Resources, that help teachers put knowledge into practice and help them foster children’s learning and growth.

Pre-K 3 (Butterfly Classroom) and Pre-K 4

Frog Street Pre-K is a comprehensive, research-based program that integrates instruction across developmental domains and early learning disciplines. Frog Street Pre-K curriculum supports every aspect of your child’s development—physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and linguistic.

The cornerstones of the program are:

  • An extensive integration of theme, disciplines, and domains

  • Social and Emotional development includes Dr. Becky Bailey’s Conscious Discipline®

  • Differentiated instruction

  • Equity of English and Spanish materials and instruction

  • Joyful approach to learnin

Health and Wellness
Eating Health and getting plenty of exercise is an important component to a child’s learning. We encourage parents to pack healthy meals for their children. We provide healthy snacks, and teach children the importance of exercise to keep their bodies and minds healthy. We are fortunate to have a gym with basketball goals. Even in the cold and rainy months our children will get plenty of play time.

Music and Movement
Opportunities for using music and movement as a teaching tool are woven throughout the curriculum. Music education has been shown to improve concentration, memory, self-expression, and enhance coordination and fine motor functioning, so our teachers expose students to dancing, singing, playing musical instruments, and sign language. Then you get to see your child show off what they've learned at our musical programs!

Parent Education
We make an investment in our parents, too! Several times a year workshops will be hosted for continuing education of parents with topics ranging from Smart Discipline© techniques to family financial planning.

Afterschool and Summer Youth Programs

In addition to our infant and preschool programs, the Center also offers after school care with pick-up from Brentwood and Gullett elementary schools and a summer youth program (SYP) for elementary age children during the summer months.

Through our after school program, your child will be given homework assistance, opportunities for arts and crafts, participate in group activities, enjoy snack time and have fun with free play in a safe and secure environment. The children will also enjoy field trips to Brentwood Park, movie days, and be exposed to chapel services.

The SYP is an exciting (and affordable!) way for children entering kindergarten through 6th grade students to spend their summer. Every year there is a thrilling theme, planned activities based on age and interest, interesting field trips, opportunities for arts and crafts, swimming, fun games and chapel services for students in a faith-based environment. The goal for our summer teachers is to help promote social skills, sportsmanship, and education and all staff is CPR, first aid, and water safety trained.

ArtClub Summer Camp!

A creative camp for confident kids

Join us this summer for ArtClub! ArtClub is a summer youth program operating out of Faith Lutheran.
