Joining Faith Lutheran

Ways to Join
Transfer
Lutherans currently holding membership in a Lutheran congregation may transfer their membership to Faith through a letter of transfer. Let us know if you’d like us to request your transfer letter.
Affirmation of Baptism
Baptized Christians from other denominations are asked to attend sessions taught by the pastor. This provides an opportunity
for learning about Lutheran beliefs and practices, and answers to any questions you may have.
Former Lutherans who come from recent membership in another denomination or who have not been recently active in a
congregation may join Faith Lutheran Church through the rite of Affirmation of Faith.
Baptism
If you have not been baptized, you may receive instruction and be baptized in the name of the Triune God. Please speak to the pastor if you desire to be baptized.
Associate Members
Associate members are members who wish to participate in the life and mission of this congregation but retain membership in their home Christian congregations. They have all the privileges and duties of membership except voting rights and election to the Church Council.
Steps to Membership
Step 1: Attend worship and Sunday School on a regular basis, growing in knowledge and understanding of God’s Word and becoming connected with the Faith family.
Step 2: Speak with the pastor concerning your plans and any questions you may have.
Step 3: Share in implementing Faith’s mission:
We, at Faith Lutheran Church, believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of all life and creation. In response to His grace and love toward us, we are called to share His love by reaching out to all people. We are called to be a worshiping, caring, learning community.
John 15:5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.”
